About us
Ten years ago, in New York City, we met by chance.
Hina had just opened her first Appletree Preschool in New Jersey. Aneesa was launching Blueground. We stayed in each other's orbit as our paths took off in their own directions — Hina grew Appletree to six locations across New Jersey; Aneesa scaled Blueground into a global company.
In 2024, we both moved to Dubai within weeks of each other. Looking at the early learning options around us, we kept returning to one question: What would happen if we built an early learning space from scratch — one that pairs proven educational philosophy with an environment designed with intention from top to bottom, while deeply honouring the rich culture, heritage, and language of our vibrant home in the UAE?
That programme is evergreen.
We believe children are natural learners. From the moment they're born, they're wired for curiosity, capable of far more complex thought than most programmes give them credit for, and primed to absorb language and culture simply by being immersed in it. Most early education isn't built around that truth. So we built something that is.
Our philosophy

We draw on the Curiosity Approach, using open-ended provocations so children learn through discovery, awe, and wonder rather than being told what to think. Our teachers step in with purpose: extending a child’s thinking, never directing it.

Instead of sterile classrooms, we surround children with sensory-rich, natural landscapes built for exploring. For at least six months of the year, children spend several hours a day learning outside — because that's where curiosity comes alive.

Real partnership means parents help shape what happens in the classroom — through open communication, shared goal-setting, and regular opportunities to contribute to the learning itself, not just updates on it.

Our Principal
With over 15 years of dedicated experience in early childhood education, Karen brings a deep passion for fostering safe, joyful, and inspiring learning environments where every child can thrive. Her diverse leadership background spans roles as a Teacher, Head of FS1, Coordinator, and Principal.
Born and raised in the UAE with British and Brazilian heritage, Karen deeply understands the vibrant, multicultural fabric of our community. As a proud mother to a young son, she approaches early years education with both professional mastery and a parent's heart — valuing the immense trust families place in us every day. Karen is dedicated to building strong, collaborative partnerships with parents, educators, and children as she guides our little learners on their growth journey.
